Red Lion pub in Kingley Street in Soho in November 2008. It is one of them Samuel Smith pubs, where a pint of bitter nowadays, as the Sterling has slumped to a new low, costs less than 1.80 euros, which is less than in many places in Eastern Europe, although Prague's beer is still a bargain at around 0.90 euros per half a litre. But anyway, I have beenIgoing to this pub for years, and it is a very relaxing place to have a couple of beers. I used my relatively new table tripod to get this shot.

Happy New Year 2009 to all. This shot was taken last year, in November at the British Museum. The Great Court here is the largest indoor court in the world, surrounding the Reading Room, in which the likes of Darwin, Lenin, Marx, and Dickens did writing and studying in their day.
